A water lily blooms on a pond behind the main house of the Jenkins Estate in Beaverton. The 68-acre estate, which is turning 100 years-old, is one of the jewels of Washington County and is beloved by generations of couples who wed there and nature lovers who simply found peace and prettiness in walks around the grounds.
